Mr. RAMVEER TANWAR

Mr. Ramveer Tanwar (PondMan), an Environmentalist and TEDx Speaker, based in Greater Noida has been passionate about water conservation during his Student life. He started his campaign called Jal Chaupal in Gautam Budhha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh; urged people to conserve water and to save natural resources like ponds, lakes & Wetlands. He got trained by The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), MOEF, and Govt. of India. Now Mr. Tanwar is the founder of Say Earth NGO.

Ramveer Tanwar praised by Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji in Mann Ki Baat and also by Honorable Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath. He is declared as Brand Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Mission, Ghaziabad and appointed district coordinator of the ‘BhuJal-Sena, Noida (Groundwater Force)’ by Government of Uttar Pradesh

Mr. Tanwar has contributed to restore and rejuvenate 40+ ponds and lakes in all over India. He is also working as a consultant with different corporate groups and government departments forrest or ation of water bodies and awareness campaigns.

Jal Chaupal

Jal Chaupal is initiative of awaking the peoples about importance of water and various factors related to water scarcity in society. In Jal Chaupal we discuss topics like Ground Water Extraction, Water Pollution, rainwater harvesting, water budgeting, etc. Jal Chaupal has been proved the most important support tool to motivating the peoples to involve in pond restoration work.  We are trying to build an emotional connection between the villagers and water bodies. It will help them understand the importance of lakes and ponds and take initiative to save them. “Water budgeting Water budgeting’ is essential for every village. It refers to the estimation of availability of water in the respective Gram Panchayat from different water sources (groundwater, surface water, and rainwater), and planning its use against the various purposes. Hence, Jal Chaupal helps villagers to understand the amount of water actually required by them, matching against the status of water availability. This has also helped in generating awareness about the importance of water conservation.

From Starting We have been used social media as a tool for connecting the peoples with this campaign. For this, We made a facebook page by name Boond Boond Pani (in Hindi). Till now have connected more than 1.5lakh of peoples who want to do something for water conservation through various methods.
